PRIDE Industries, a service provider to both public and private organizations throughout the world, has announced that Claire Pomeroy, MD, MBA, will be joining their board of directors.
Pomeroy is the Chief Executive Officer of UC Davis Health System and UC Davis Vice Chancellor for Human Health Services. She is also the Dean of UC Davis’ School of Medicine.
An expert in infectious disease, Pomeroy is also a professor of microbiology, immunology and internal medicine. She currently oversees all of the clinical, academic and research programs in the entire UC Davis Health System. This incorporates the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, the School of Medicine, the UC Davis Medical Center and the physicians practice group, which numbers approximately 1,000 members.
Pomeroy attended the University of Michigan, where she received her bachelor’s degree, as well as her medical degrees. She also earned her MBA at the University of Kentucky. She completed her residency and her fellowship training at the University of Minnesota, specializing in infectious disease and internal medicine.
Her extensive experience includes being an associate dean of research and informatics at the University of Kentucky, where she was also on the board of trustees. Pomeroy also worked at the University of Kentucky and University of Minnesota where she held faculty positions.
