Chamberlain College of Nursing Appoints Two New Campus Presidents

The Chamberlain School of Nursing has announced that they have filled the positions of campus president at two of their campuses.

Katherine Walls, PhD, MSN, RN, will become the president of the school’s Jacksonville campus. She will be replacing Katherine Dimmock, JD, EdD, MSN, RN, who has held the position since the school opened back in 2009.

Dr. Walls brings more than three decades of experience in the healthcare industry to her position. Her vast experience includes everything from instructor to administration and even practice. Her most recent position was as dean of academic affairs at the school’s Jacksonville campus. Prior to joining the school’s staff, she was the assistant dean of nursing and allied health at Spoon Rive College, located in Canton, Illinois. She was also held numerous nursing educator positions.

Dr. Dimmock is moving to the school’s Miramar, Florida campus where she will become the campus president.

Dr. Dimmock’s career spans more than 40 years as an educator, clinician, administrator and as an attorney. Besides over 15 years of clinical work in various locations, she also worked for three years as a medical malpractice and trial advocacy as assistant attorney.

Dr. Wall and Dr. Dimmock’s duties as campus president will include ensuring the delivery of school services to students, ensuring that the curriculum of the school is implemented efficiently and overseeing the daily operations of their perspective school.
