Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank Names New Vice President

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland named Iris Cumberpatch as their new vice president of Public Affairs. The appointment became effective on May 31, 2012.

Cumberpatch’s responsibilities will include overseeing and helping lead the Public Affairs division, strategic communications, maintaining and overseeing all web services, executive outreach and maintaining public information.

Prior to her appointment, Cumberpatch was the senior vice president of corporate communications at Wells Fargo in Charlotte, North Carolina. Before that, she held public relations and communication positions at Bank of America, Citibank and Wachovia.

Cumberpatch also holds several other distinctions:

– member of the International Association of Business Communications

– member of the Public Relations Society of America

– vice chair of the Parish Council for Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church

– member of the Ladies Guild

– United Way of Central Carolinas African American Leadership Initiative (past chair)

– Board chairman, Shelter Health Services, Salvation Army Women’s/Children’s Shelter (past chair)

– past member, Queens University McColl School of Business Alumni Association

Cumberpatch’s holds a bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University in journalism/communications. She also has an MBA from Queens University located in Charlotte. Currently, she is a candidate for her PhD at Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Cumberpatch also has an advanced certificate from The University in Manchester, United Kingdom in mass communications.
