Fox Business Network Expands Anchor’s Role

The Fox Business Network has decided to expand the role of one of their top anchors, Melissa Francis.

Francis is being given her own show airing weeknights from 5-6 PM, Eastern Time. The show is called “MONEY with Melissa Francis” and will spotlight the top money stories of the day and how taxpayers are, and will be, affected by them.

The announcement of the new series was made at a press conference on Wednesday by Kevin Magee, who is the Executive Vice President of Fox Business Network.

In addition to her new show, Francis will continue to perform her duties as co-anchor of the network’s “Markets Now”, alongside Lori Rothman.

Each evening, Francis will be joined by a variety of experts who will discuss the current key issues facing America and how these decisions are impacting taxpayers and their households. The show will also recap the day’s top news stories, including those of the market.

In order to make room for the series, the network had to shuffle some of it’s current programming:

– “Gerri Willis’ The Willis Report, which was previously planned for 8 PM/ET will be moved to 6 PM/ET.

– Neil Cavuto’s “CAVUTO”, will garnish the 8 PM/ET time slot.

– “Lou Dobbs Tonight” will continue to hold it’s spot on weeknights at 7 PM/ET.

“MONEY with Melissa Francis” will begin airing on June 4.
