“Great Woman Of Gaming” Winner Announced By Balley Technologies

Balley Technologies has just announced that the winner of their 2011 Great Woman of Gaming “Rising Star” award is Kimberly Cohn. Cohn was promoted to Director of Game Development in 2010.

The annual award spotlights what are considered to be the brightest women within the gaming industry from around the world. The award is presented by “Casino Enterprise Management” magazine.

Cohn was one of five recipients of the award. In order to be considered, candidates must have a minimum of three years within the gaming industry. Winners have to have demonstrated exceptional achievement in at least three of the five major categories:

 

– level of commitment to their company and their co-workers

– going above and beyond their assigned duties and responsibilities

– being committed to mentoring others

– contributions that they have made to the industry

– and having a strong balance of life

Cohn was an art student at California State University in Northridge. She also took courses at the American Animation Institute in Berkeley, before receiving her Bachelor’s degree.

Balley Technologies is recognized as a leading in many areas of the gaming industry including video machines, slot machines, interactive application and management of casinos. They are also known for providing network and server-based systems for the gaming industry across the globe.
