Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corporation has announced that it has given Joan Amble a spot on their Board of Directors. The position on Booz Allen’s Audit Committee is effective immediately.
The company is the parent company of Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., which is a management and technology consulting firm to the U.S. government. The company’s total revenues last year were $5.86 billion.
Amble’s finance and accounting career spans all the way back to 1977. Her most recent position was as Executive Vice President of Finance for American Express.
Ms. Amble received a BS degree from Pennsylvania State University. In addition to her Board of Director position, she also serves as a Director of both Sirius XM Radio, as well as Brown-Forman Corporation. She is the co-founder of W.O.M.E.N. In America and also holds a position on the Board of Visitors at Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business.
Besides working for American Express, Ms. Amble’s impressive career also includes senior positions at General Electric, Ernst & Young, the Financial Accounting Standards Board and GE Capital Markets.
Amble will become Booz Allen’s tenth board member. Her position will be for a term of two years, with the term expiring in the summer of 2014.
