New Documentary Focuses On Female Entrepreneurial Issues

Microsoft

A new documentary that started out as a simple project has inspired one woman to become even more involved. The project focuses on women entrepreneurs and the issues that they encounter from starting a business.

Microsoft had developed a campaign known as “Your Office, Your Terms”, which was intended to spotlight women entrepreneurs. The company appointed Jackie Baptists as the campaign’s project manager.

But once Baptist heard the stories of the women involved in the campaign, she became inspired. In fact, she became so enthusiastic about what she found that it inspired her to develop her own documentary, “She Means Business”.

“She Means Business” follows the lives of four women who run their own businesses and shows their triumphs ad struggles as well as their failures along the way.

Baptist admits that it is difficult not to become impressed and inspired by the women that she interviewed, knowing what they had to overcome to start their businesses and what they continue to face. Her hope is that others will be inspired to take the challenge of creating their own businesses.

Baptist, like others involved in the project, hope that their project will show others that anyone, not just women, have the potential to create a business with just an idea and inspiration.
