Rhonda Shear Named Florida’s 2012 Entrepreneur Of The Year

Erst & Young LLP has announced the Florida winner of the 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year award. Rhonda Shear, who is the CEO of Shear Enterprises, received the award for her contribution in the Retail and Consumer Products category.

Shear Enterprises, which Shears started when she was 46, is the creator of the best-selling “Ahh Bra”.

The winner of the award was decided using an independent panel of judges. Mrs. Shears received her honor during a special event at the Hilton Orlando on June 14th.

She is now eligible for entry into the running for the 2012 National Entrepreneur Of The Year Award which will be presented at the annual awards ceremony taking place on November 17 of this year in Palm Springs, California.

The award is used to bring recognition to entrepreneurs who have shown remarkable accomplishments in financial performance, innovation and personal commitment as it pertains to their businesses, as well as their community.

Shear’s latest project is a line of products designed strictly for Baby Boomers. The line is called “Boomer Hottie”.

This is the 26th year that Ernst & Young has given their Entrepreneur Of The Year Award. Past recipients of the award include Fred Smith of FedEx, Mindy Grossmna of HSN and Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com.
