The Discreet Guide for Executive Women is an Amazon bestseller , having reached #2 in New Releases on Women & Business;($17.95, Whistling Rabbit Press, softcover)

The book was the result of Jennifer Crittenden’s inspiration to extend a helping hand to ambitious women working in corporate America. A seasoned executive, Crittenden offers practical, truthful and slightly irreverent advice about navigating workplaces that are run and populated predominately by men. She also offers how to interpret their sometimes-surprising behavior, avoid typical mistakes, flourish with the good men as well as deal with the bad guys. All the while nurturing a great and satisfying career in a non-traditional role.

“I am honored that The Discreet Guide won a national award,” said Jennifer Crittenden. “It’s different from other career advice books for women in that it doesn’t treat men as the enemy and is written by a fellow executive. It’s also quite timely because the pitfalls of working in a male-dominated environment, especially those related to sex and sexual harassment, are in the news these days,” Jennifer added, citing the recent media coverage of a gender discrimination lawsuit against the venture capital firm, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers.

Ms. Crittenden has been quoted in Bloomberg Businessweek, the Glass Hammer, NBC Chicago, and HR Executive. She has also been interviewed by print, radio, and Internet news outlets about women and business, and she frequently speaks to professional and student groups about communication and gender issues.
