Cleveland based Thompson Hine LLP has been recognized for its leadership in advancing women within the legal profession. The inaugural Euromoney Legal Media Group Americas Women in Business Law Awards honored the firm’s initiative, Spotlight on Women®, as the best gender diversity initiative by a national firm.
The firm was also nominated in two additional categories – best national firm for women in business law and best national firm for talent management for its Spotlight on Leaders program, which provides non-partner women lawyers with leadership development opportunities through a series of intensive meetings, events and workshops with the firm’s senior leadership, renowned subject experts and successful executives.
This news comes on the heels of Thompson Hine’s being named a Top 100 Law Firm for Women by Multicultural Law magazine.
The firm has a commitment to attracting and retaining a diverse workforce. This is evident in the makeup, with a woman serving as the firm’s managing partner and 50 percent of its Executive Committee made up of women and minorities. Women and minorities also serve as practice group leaders and office partners-in-charge.
The Americas Women in Business Law Award is the latest in a series of accolades the firm has received for its commitment to workplace diversity.
